Integrative Art Psychotherapy
I am Sarah Jane, an art therapist with an integrative, relational, and creative approach to therapy. I am a warm, empathic therapist who offers a safe, supportive space in which to explore worries or difficulties in total confidence.
Art psychotherapy provides a gentle, containing option for positive change. You do not need to consider yourself ‘artistic’ or have any previous creative experience; the focus is entirely on the restorative process of mark-making, and developing a supportive toolbox of daily life strategies.
Moving Beyond Words to Find Meaning through Creative Expression
My Practice :
Practical details
My approach to therapy is relational and collaborative, and my integrative approach helps me to adapt my therapeutic style to suit your needs.
With extensive experience across sectors including the NHS, Police, and education, student mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions, as well as life transitions such as the menopause, parenthood, and retirement, I work with a range of creative methods and imaginative ways of working.
Secure Online Therapy (Global): I provide deeply connected, confidential online art psychotherapy sessions to individual clients worldwide. We meet via a secure, encrypted video platform. You simply gather a basic set of materials at home (such as a sketchbook, charcoal, or watercolours), and we co-create a reflective studio space from wherever you are in the world.
Face-to-Face Therapy (Tonbridge and Sevenoaks, Kent):
For clients seeking a physical, grounded presence, I maintain dedicated face-to-face clinical hours in both Tonbridge and Sevenoaks, Kent.
A relaxed conversation for you to get to know me a little, and to help me understand your goals for therapy and how I can support you. Together, we’ll plan your next steps. We will explore what is bringing you to therapy, look at your current life transitions, and discuss how image and art materials might support your healing. With many forms of art to choose from, we can find the ways that feel most supportive for you, but there is no pressure to create art if that is not the way you would like to work.

Your safety and clinical care are held to the highest professional standards. I am fully registered and regulated by the UK government's statutory regulator, the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and am an active member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT).
